Learn How To
Teach Yourself To Feel Better!
The Alexander Technique is not about “doing,” it is about “undoing”

The Alexander Technique is not about “doing,” it is about “undoing”

Undoing those habits that unconsciously add work, stress, and pain to daily life. The Alexander Technique is about learning how to teach your own body to unwind, how to teach yourself to feel better.
Through the Alexander Technique students learn to free their bodies of the tension, stress, and pain brought on by daily activities, habits, or injuries. Over time, these habits train the body to exist in unnatural, unbalanced, and unnecessarily strained states.

What They’re Saying About Julia & the Technique
“Julia Caulder is one of the best Alexander Technique coaches I have ever worked with. Her attention to detail and bespoke way of working allowed her to tailor the Alexander Technique for my specific needs and also to the needs of my project. We worked hand-in-hand to shape movement, speech and breath. Her work exemplifies the large impact a gentle, guiding touch and clear, specific directions have on the body. She also seamlessly became a part of the crew on set, often working with me between takes for added effect, while never disturbing my character preparation….she is a selfless team player and thoughtful collaborator.”

“Having your child diagnosed with scoliosis is a very uneasy and scary time for parents. They are concerned not only about the present deformity, but really wonder about what can be done to help their child now and in the future. I have found in my practice of Pediatric Orthopedics that the Alexander Technique, as taught by Julia Caulder, is both therapeutic to the patients as well as it is comforting to the parents. This valuable non invasive technique assists patients in both body image as well as improves the scoliosis curve in terms of magnitude. Frequently, early intervention with this technique obviates the need for surgery in a vast majority of my patients. I consider it a front line treatment for scoliosis in my young adolescent patients.”
